The ongoing weekly meditation group has been meeting for 15 years! We use mindfulness, compassion, body awareness techniques and creativity to bring greater ease and relaxation, aliveness and well-being into our daily lives. We learn practices that cultivate mental and emotional balance so that we can work more skillfully with the challenges of illness and daily life.
We support each other and share the wisdom of the group. Themes vary from month to month, but students can join at any time. This group is for those who have had or are dealing with cancer or another illness, for friends, family, support people and professional caregivers. Please call if you're interested in this group.
My classes and groups are open to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer or other illness as well as friends/family, support people, personal and professional caregivers. Classes, groups and retreats are part of the Healing Circles program at Commonweal. This innovative program is a collaborative education community that focuses on bringing transformative learning to the cancer care community.
Cost: FREE, sponsored by the Alta Bates Medical Comprehensive Cancer Center.
